Private, expert care for HPV and genital warts

Many emotions can come up when dealing with an STD — fear, anger, denial, embarrassment. Your first priority should be seeking proper, complete treatment. Dr. Lauber's goal is to treat HPV as quickly and as discreetly as possible — with over 35 years of experience in male HPV and genital warts treatment, he knows exactly what he's doing.

100% Confidential

Your privacy is our priority

When you work with Advanced Skin Treatment Center of Orange County, your treatment is 100% private — and your medical records are 100% confidential. They will never be shared with anyone.

HPV can cause cancer, and everyone an infected person has been intimate with must be properly evaluated, managed, and treated so there is no re-infection and no back-and-forth transmission of the virus. Honesty is the best policy here — especially when there is a risk of cancer.

Don't wait another day

If you have or suspect you have genital warts, early treatment prevents the condition from spreading and protects your long-term health.

An Important Warning

Please do not attempt home remedies

Please never attempt a home remedy or purchase over-the-counter genital wart treatments on the internet. Things like apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, and over-the-counter wart removers will not work — and they can make the problem much worse.

In fact, these amateur treatments only cause extreme inflammation or burns in the affected area. The extra blood flow they bring to the area can actually make warts larger in size and greater in number.

There is an even more serious danger: because these methods don't allow your warts to be analyzed under a microscope by a pathologist, you risk treating a cancerous strain of HPV while spreading the cancer. Between 2006 and 2010, about 33,200 HPV-associated cancers occurred in the United States each year — about 20,600 among females and 12,600 among males.

Laser and cryo are not a shortcut

Some providers without formal dermatology training use liquid nitrogen or lasers for these conditions. Without a specimen sent to a specialty lab to check for cancer, these methods can be just as dangerous as home remedies.

Genital warts are among the most prevalent sexually transmitted conditions — yet clear, correct, up-to-date information is hard to find. Myths and misconceptions abound, and inaccurate information can cause serious anxiety, doubt, expensive and painful treatments that could have been avoided, or — worst of all — neglect of a condition that threatens your health.
